Information and tips for tyers, as well as information on hatches.

I mentioned this in another post but I'll post it here as well. What we have left for winter time hatches before spring officially arrives is: Midges, Tiny Winter Black Stoneflies ( this hatch usually starts by mid Feb.), early Baetis which can start as early as mid Feb. on a select few smaller streams south of I-90, and believe it or not we do have some winter time caddis hatches which may start at anytime. The best hatches of winter time caddis that i've seen also happen on smaller streams south of I-90. Please, keep in mind some of the fore mentioned hatches may happen north of I-90 as well but the only one's i've seen are midges and the Tiny Winter Black Stoneflies. If anyone wants to add additional winter hatches not mentioned in the above list, feel free to do so!
