3. Last season, middle of june I saw a muskrat come out of a bunch of slosh that had accumulated into a log jam. Then I watched another follow a minute later. Then another....then I jumped on the log jam just to see what might happen...I watched close to 15 of those trout eating creatures come runn...

I'd stick to cleaning up garbage only. If you get into removing log jams you will burn up a lot of time and get little actual cleanup done.

I live far enough away from the Driftless streams (200 to 300 miles) that I only get down there once or twice a year. But the North Shore and BWCA are in my back yard, and I do multiple trips there year-round, while others might get up here once a year--if that. I guess it's a matter of perspective....

That is a stunning fish. I wonder how it compares with other monsters caught in SE Minnesota. It must rank as one of the biggest taken in decades. I bet it spent most of its life in the Root. The waters of the Root are deep and still near Dushee Creek. Perfect for supporting a big food-base.

Ban deer feeding and game farms and the risk of CWD getting into the wild deer herd decreases radically. Deer and elk are not farm animals and should not be treated as such.

When you're talking about Chronic Wasting Disease, it's best to be aggressive and nip the problem in the bud before it spreads like wildfire. Better safe than sorry.
