One more point: 10-15% of the project was impacted? Seriously!? So, the other 85-90% is in tip top shape? I find that hard to believe.
As do I

Re: Minnesota Trout Unlimited Rush Creek Habitat Disaster

I asked them: Why then is T.U. still insistent on using this type of habitat improvement on their pr...

There are much smaller farms doing more environmental damage
How does adding 6000 pooping cows help that????????
A post like this just shows how ignorant people are.
Often times when the term ignorant is used it comes off as cavalier and arrogant.

Re: Favorite Hatch

My first season with a fly rod I hit an excellent D.H. hatch in the afternoon after struggling all am. I left the stream that day thinking I had fly angling all figured out. That was 15 or so years ago. What a foolish thought.

Re: Favorite Hatch

I know it's not really a hatch, but mine is the hopper "hatch" on one of those days where they're jumping in every direction with each step taken and fish are hammering them with reckless abandon.

Re: Stream Conditions Outlook

If we do get a quick melt and massive run-off, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take pictures and document the effects on all the woody debris H.I. either on stream or at Lock 8 in Genoa.

Mayflies and Caddis Hatch Declines

Not really new news to any of us, but this article summary of a newly released study (link at the end of the story) paints a grim picture.
