Re: Stream reports?

Water was clear everywhere I went yesterday. Plenty of spin fishers in the usual place: SBRR in Preston, below the dam in Lanesboro. They looked pretty miserable standing there in that weather.

Re: Fishing Reports

Fished Saturday. Clean water. Not many guys around. No hatches to speak of. Soft hackles dead drift killed it, though.

I think the water temperatures never really got high enough for the hatches to kick and get going. Feels a little late this year.

Re: Resolving the Current Trout Habitat Problem

There needs to be a moratorium on stream trout projects until there is an agreement on a resolution. I have never felt that there was any good scientific basis to switch to a Rosgen heavy restoration philosophy. Show me and prove to me that it works for the trout and is superior way to do bank stabi...

Re: Minnesota Trout Unlimited Rush Creek Habitat Disaster

Re: Minnesota Trout Unlimited Rush Creek Habitat Disaster

His line about getting help from members to secure greater flexibility is also gigantic BS, lip service. He will fall in line and do what he is being told to do by Ecological Services if ...

Re: Minnesota Trout Unlimited Rush Creek Habitat Disaster

Hop on over to the MNTU Facebook page. They are defending the failed Rush Creek project by blaming the the high water from the snow melt as the reason the project is a disaster. Would one expect anything less from them at this point?

Re: Rush Creek HI work

The Kool Aid has been spiked by higher powers than TU, Cam. They have to drink that Kool Aid that Ecological Services is serving, as Ecological Services holds the permitting for stream work. I don't support MNTU as they clearly have not taken a stand on the disaster that is Rosgen. In the same breat...

Re: Winona County Dairy Ruling

This problem has every bit as much to do with a flawed tax system as it has to do with low prices and tariffs.
Oh, you mean subsidies...which is socialism for farmers.

Re: Winona County Dairy Ruling

From what I have read test are showing that the water is getting better and not worse.
Nitrates are easily and affordably removed from water with an RO system.
Prove it.
