Re: Sporadic Outages

Thanks Randy and everyone else that helps keep this site running. I've met some great people here that I likely would not have met without this site.

I don't really understand the need for the change. Why change something that is working. As already mentioned on this forum many times, suggesting others keep the smaller fish in the 10" range would help many streams with higher populations. The DNR might be thinking there are so many C&R anglers th...

They just dumped a bunch bows in there a few weeks ago. Find a bridge and there should be fish everywhere.

Re: Newbe

Mend provisions has classes he does. Usually post them on his Facebook page. Bob Mitchell's has open tying night 2 times a month. I'm sure most guys would be willing to give pointers and advice. I think the Griffin Superior 2A fine point is the best vice for the money. Go to a shop and one of these ...

Re: Trico Hatch

I fished a good hatch about 2 weeks ago in SE MN. Plenty of Tricos to get fish looking up. They have been going good up here near the cities for about a month now. Hatches up here started picking up in numbers and consistency in bringing up fish just after the 4 of July.

A friend and I fished south of 90 and had a good day overall. Tricos for a few hours and then streamers/terrestrial patterns the rest of the morning/afternoon. Good numbers overall, but only one good fish caught (16-17”). Nice to get some cooler weather compared to the last few weeks.

I would give it an 8 so far this season. Fishing has been very good, but the hatches have not been what they were compared to seasons past. Everything seemed to all come at once or never really developed much at all. No complaints though, I’m happy anytime I can get out and fish.
