Season’s End Report

Rain and blown rivers this summer/early fall put a damper on many of my planned outings. I also got a puppy, a male GSP, this spring and the times I have been out have been as much about getting him acclimated to fishing as they have about just catching fish. I took him out for the day north of 90 1...

Re: 5 driftless rods?

I'm a Sage guy. I've got a buddy who swears by Winston. I prefer the fast-action of Sage rods, but to echo High Stick, it's a highly subjective thing. While I've got several other driftless rods (4, 5, and 6 wts), my go to is a 9' 3 wt. Sage One. I mainly fish dry-dropper/hopper-dropper rigs and thr...

Re: Dry / dropper rigging

I run into the same thing with larger dries. I switched over to method b for a while but didn’t notice it helping all that much. It took longer to tie on bugs so I’ve switched back to a. With foam dries (which are my dries a majority of the year) I think they’re bumping the bug and not eating it and...

Re: Wading Boot Outsoles

I've worn cheap, Patagonia, and Simms wading boots, all rubber sole. I'll second jrs on lighter weight boots durability. I've worn Simms boots for the last 4-5 seasons. While they are heavier, they handle the wear and tearing of wading much better. They also provide better ankle and arch support tha...

Re: Naming stream names?

Not that great of an idea for a fishing report. The world wide web casts a large net. It does. I like the north/south of 90. With that said, I doubt it would make that much of a difference as far as how busy a stream gets. There are so many anglers who don’t venture far from the access points. All ...

Re: Fishing Report- June 11

Yes. I hit a good LH hatch about 10 days ago south of 90. Plenty of fish caught on dries. A very reliable source told me the night before that they were coming off on that system during the day but due to stained water fish weren't eating duns. 24 hours of clearing water was all that was needed to g...

Re: Stream Conditions

Fished south of 90 today. Stream was a bit stained, which was ideal for the bluebird day. Hit a Light Hendrickson hatch. Fish were eating emergers, cripples, and parachutes.

Re: Lanesboro Dam Work

Well put fellas. This is just another glaring example of where/how TU has their priorities out of whack.
