There are few mayfly hatches left in SEMN. Farming chemicals have pretty much killed all but blue wing olives. The last really good light Hendrickson hatch I saw was probably 15 years ago. I’d be more apt to have your friend use a bead head caddis pupa. They are abundant.
I got out on a popular stream south of 90. Lots of people were out in the morning, but thinned out by noon. The water was a little dirty but very fishable. I used to consider a certain small stream North of Rochester as my home waters. I fished it a lot and knew it well. But I grew a little bored with it and don’t fish it as much any longer. I get there occasionally, but prefer other streams with more challenges.
