Re: Habitat Improvement

So there is a disconnect between the MNTU and anglers? Sounds like they believe they are doing good for improving the habitat but what they believe helps, simply does not. So what should be being done is leaving trees and shrub to overhang the rivers/streams as well as creating deeper pools instead ...

Habitat Improvement

Hello All, I see this topic brought up a lot and have read through some previous posts about it but I still don't fully understand. Why do most people seem to be against habitat improvement? Is it because it isn't working? Too costly? Or am I reading the room wrong and maybe people like it? Just cur...

First thing you need to do is trade those out for Flowstone spinners. ;)
Already on it, dropped another $20 and got the email they shipped right away \m/

Re: Creek Access and Easements [SE MN]

That said, how many landowners are going to have a problem with a dog that's by his owners side not causing problems? Thoughts? (I am also working on getting permission in spots I fish most frequently). I wouldn't imagine that would be a problem, however the majority of dog owners probably can't co...

Re: Creek Access and Easements [SE MN]

I feel confident I will be able to determine my location on an easement. I am guessing you are referring to signs that look like this? https://www.google.com/search?q=easement+trout+fishing+sign&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS864US864&sxsrf=ALeKk01Nyp-grxTdRnF573JlplYr2EPB6A:1588707965318&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1...

Re: Creek Access and Easements [SE MN]

Thank you, living north of the Twin Cities I don't usually see many easements so I just wanted to confirm how they worked. I fish a decent amount of WMA's and state/public land so I am aware enough of parking out of the way, not bringing dogs, etc. I have been looking at those stream maps multiple t...

Re: Flowstone Lures - Made in Lanesboro

Ordered some rooster tails from Cabelas right before I stumbled across Flowstone, wish I would've held off. On the other hand I di just place an order for 3 Flowstone spinners which I am excited about! Didn't see the promo code on here haha! Can't wait!

Creek Access and Easements [SE MN]

Hello MN Trout Forum, I am pretty new to trout fishing, only ever caught small brook trout out of a pond/stream with nightcrawlers but looking to find some trout in streams this spring/summer. Right now I use a spinning setup with 1/16 oz and 1/8 oz rooster tails and spinners. Looking to get down to...
